If ONLY the language of the After Effects text layers changes -- nothing else -- I would duplicate the original project file and rename it.

Re: Can I make a shape follow a particular part of a moving path?
Hey Sjaani,
Yes; I scaled it to be in proportion to the character after importing it from illustrator.

How To Create Animated Arrows In After Effects - YouTube
In this tutorial you attatch a null to a path, just skip the rest. Should work for ya
Re: Puppet Pin, Parenting and 3D
If you want to skip the 3D part, just use a duplicate of your character layer as a mask on the objects it is to pass in front of
Re: How to use shortcuts when on laptop?
I am on a mac, and control+option+left arrow, or, command+option+left arrow, doesn't seem to do it. I have tried every possible combo+left arrow, but maybe I am missing something.
I will make a shortcut, if there is no other way.
Help with copying a Google animation
Hi,
I've been trying to recreate the animation from 0:02-0:04 in this Google commercial: Google Search: Flight Info (Austin) - YouTube
I've been having difficulty keyframing the orientation of a rectangular image to move like the flight info does in the commercial. I assumed I'd have to individually rotate each image, then use a null object to have them all smoothly move down in position. Is that the right way about going about this?
How would you recreate this effect?
Re: How to use shortcuts when on laptop?
Use the Keyboard Shortcuts Visualizer to create a shortcut for the Home key - there is no other alternative.
Re: Help with copying a Google animation
Yup. Individual movements + a Parent Object/Layer to move them as a group. You'll have to love-love-love the keyframes to obtain the nice slick movements.
Re: Help with copying a Google animation
Okay glad I'm on the right track.
My problem is getting the rotation part of it. Can you offer any advice on how to orient it?
Re: Help with copying a Google animation
Those are 3D rotations. So ... ensure your layers are 3D Layers - then keyframe y-rotation.
Re: Motion Graphics Template Import Error...
No this item still has not been resolved. I am new to this forum and am having exactly the same issue!

THANK YOU

THANK YOU ALOT
Re: Motion Graphics Template Import Error...
yeah this is really annoying I just bought two different motion graphics that I can't use because of this glitch.
Re: Motion Graphics Template Import Error...
This issue still needs to be addressed. I have now spent $40 for motion graphics templates that don't work even though I have the current updates to both After Effects and Premiere.
Re: Motion Graphics Template Import Error...
Upon more research looks like this is a known problem and they are asking us to upvote this as a bug. BUG REPORT: CC2019 Dynamic Link to AE broken – Adobe video & audio apps
Don't know why we have to do this when multiple people have said it is a bug. This is ridiculous.
Re: Can I make a shape follow a particular part of a moving path?
Scaling should be fine, I was thinking more along the lines of positioning keyframes which may have stopped it.
I've just recreated a basic animation with the torso, arm and briefcase set up with the same layout and Parenting as your images show and I'm not seeing any issues such as the briefcase stopping.
Might need to see those layers twirled down in case there's something someone else can pick up
Re: rendering
Great that I could help you. If you have any more question - don't hesitate to ask.
Re: How to use shortcuts when on laptop?
That is weird. If you are on mac Command+Option+Left Arrow should work for you as Home (the same as on win Ctrl+Alt+Left Arrow works). That's default AE keyboard shortcut list (After Effects keyboard shortcuts reference )
If somehow it does not work for you. You have to map shortcut of your chosing to that function. Example:
Re: Help with copying a Google animation
to do this 3d rotation effect you must first change the anchor point of you element than rotate on X axis
