I made a video in after effects and when I play the preview everything is fine. but when I render it and go to QuickTime to see how it rendered, a few of my clips just stay still. It'll have all the effects and everything but the clip itself is not moving and it's also in a frame that I did not even use in the clip. please help

it is definitely under-using my computer's resources. Here's my setup.
* Core i7-3770K
* 32GB RAM
* GTX 1070
* Corsair H110i V2 AIO liquid cooler
* 256GB SSD as system disk (with Adobe apps)
* 1TB PCIE SSD (>1GB/s throughput), as cache and scratch disk
* 6TB HDD with project resources
* Another 256GB SSD and several other HDDs from 3-6TB
Dragging an image around the composition window is a slideshow, and the timeline marker trails far behind the mouse when I move it. I'm working with a project with about 60 compositions. Ten of them are contain several hundred text layers, but I'm only working with one comp at a time. I can't get the CPU to work harder than 45%. The file size is 30MB (yes MB not GB), and the file takes around 50 seconds to open.

Lumetri Scopes Display error - AE CC 2019
The Lumetri Scopes are not displaying correctly in After Effects CC 2019 (v16.0.0 (Build 235)). I included screen grabs for comparison. Lumetri Scopes displays normally in AE CC (v15.1.2 (Build 69). However in AE CC 2019, the lumetri Scopes are "zoomed in" and the entire scope can not bee viewed - even when resizing and selecting different scopes, they stay "zoomed in". I included a full screen shot of the parade wave form to show the extent of the "zoomed in-ness". The blue wave form is completely missing.
How do I get the Lumetri Scopes to display normally, as they do in the previous build of AE?
Please advise.
Abnormal Lumetri scopes display in After Effects CC 2019 (v16.0.0 (Build 235)
Level of "zoomed in-ness". Zoom is fixed. Adjusting panel size has no effect.
Normal Lumetri scopes display in AE CC (v15.1.2 (Build 69). All scopes automatically resize to fit the panel size.

32 GB RAM

Composition Preview doesn´t show
Hello!
I have been getting this problem for a while now. When I open a project in After Effects the composition preview doesn´t show anything. I have tried to restart the computer, uninstall the app but it continues to show this problem.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I would really appreciate!

Well, looking at your screen shot, I see nothing to see in the comp. The timeline cursor isn't over a layer to see.

It doesn't.
Earlier versions work better. You might have better luck with them.

Space bar keeps going BACK to beginning!
I'm editing a comp for a school project and when I pause (space bar) and press play (space bar) the playback goes BACK to the beginning of my comp and not where I had paused it in my timeline. I'm trying to see my progress from when I'm editing in my timeline without having to watch the video from the beginning. How do I stop this? I must have hit a few keys of selected something to mess up my spacebar functions

No, you just don't know how to preview. Since the topic is more than can be covered in a post, I invite you to look up the Views And Previews section of AE Help. You'll learn a lot.
Really. Previewing is an acquired skill And depending on your circumstances, you may want to do it in different ways. One thing you should NOT do is to hit the pace bar and expect miracles

Just letting you know, since this project is for school, I'm at a high level of stress because of this. I'm just new to this program. This space bar problem didn't exist until recently, which leads me to think something happened with the program??? Since I'm a beginner at AE, although saying I "dont know how to preview" is true...it isn't helpful but its painfully obvious that you come across arrogant. If I did know how to preview I wouldn't be on this forum wasting my time, right?
I'll give you my circumstance: the space bar doesn't function the way it used to. The space bar, to me, meant "play and pause and play from where I paused in my timeline"...but now it means "play and pause and play from the beginning..." which I don't want. Previewing may be an acquired skill, but I think "not stating the obvious" and actually being helpful is a better skill.

Being a full time student, juggling 5 classes that are all project design-based and require many hours being poured into it while having to simultaneously teach myself these programs is hard. It's what I signed up for in college so I'm not complaining. But a rude person who is assuming something about me, in which he has no idea...I could do without.

CC Particle world help
Hello,
I'm have a video where the subject is waving a "wand" type object at the camera and I created a type of "pixie dust" with CC particle world to emit from the end of it. because I wanted to turn the pixie dust on and off on the wand, the only way I knew how to do it was make multiple layers for the particle world and just place them where I wanted the particles to start in the footage. I attached a screen shot so maybe it's easier to understand. I'm sure there is a way to do this with just one layer, but I did not know how to turn on and off the PW when I needed to. Anyway, the problem I have now is when I "shut off" the PW from the wand (by ending the layer at a certain moment), the pixie dust on the screen disappears immediately instead of continuing to the floor. I would like the wand to stop emitting, but whatever is in the air to continue to fall off the screen. I hope this makes senses. Thanks for any help! (In the image, the wand is being moved from top to bottom of the screen with the dust following...I need the dust to keep falling after the wand stops emitting)

I think I figured it out.....I just extended each layer another second or two and key framed the birth rate to zero (but left enough of the layer for the particles to fall out of frame)....I know I'm probably doing this all wrong, kind of a beginner...lol.....but I got the outcome I wanted!

Are you talking about the green line at the bottom of the frame? There is a 99% chance that the problem is in the MP4 file. MP4 is not a production format, there are hundreds if not thousands of different combinations of things that can go wrong with a highly compressed interframe format like MP4 that may or may not be related to After Effects. Most of those problems start with the encoding settings that were used to compress the file to start with.
Try using a different format or transcoding your video to a frame based production format. I use After Effects almost every day and have very few problems that cannot be solved very quickly. Re: AE and AME 2019 crashing a lot
Hi,
It just started to happen on my workstation today, AE CC2019 crashes every time on start with that "commandLineRenderer.jsx" crash or timestamp in case i remove that *.jsx.
Nothing i tried helps, i tried resetting configs and manually removing scripts folder, nothing, keeps crashing on start. Can't USE it at all. AE CC 2018 and CC 2015.5 works fine on same workstation but CC2019 suddenly stopped (worked few days ago and i've not installed anything new on machine in this period.)
Please adobe FIX this ASAP, this is ridiculous with such expensive yearly subscription of software i can't use when i want.
