Looks like in the first vid you already have a 3D camera
some confusion going on.
I suggest create a new comp and start again.

The squares arent an effect, they are a prop on a site called "pixton" where you make comics. They have car props you can use, houses, people, cirlces and other shapes etc...I uploaded the photos you see behind the squares to the site, and then i took each square prop and placed them one by one with my mouse cursor on the screen (not my body). Each square is independent. I clicked and dragged all of them in pkace over the images until the images were fully covered. Then i downloaded the completed work from the site and uploaded it here.
I wanna track the images behind the squares so the background can continuesly be blocked out as i place the squares. So it just looks like im placing the squares blind and/or doesnt look like im tracing the photos behind it.

VR hot spots
Is Adobe going to be adding the ability to include hotspots to VR footage ... Premiere or After Effects? Can do so in Captivate, but it's clunky.

Can't open project file from PC on Mac
I've been trying to open a template made on a PC on my iMac for days, and I can't get it to open. It was created in AE 15.0 (CC) and it won't open on that version, or any newer version on my machine. When I go to open it, it takes over 3 hours to finally open, and then once it's opened, it freezes after effects and I have to force quit. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Every shot I've seen like that includes work done in A 3D application -- you can't just make a convincing shuttle in AE!
How do you plan to do that?

But what motion are you tracking? What elements are moving?
Sorry if I'm being slow, I just don't get what you want to do. I think maybe there are some terminology issues here.
Let me try and break this down for you.
Firstly, what actual elements do you have to work with?
From what I understand, you have 1 - your original flattened artwork, and 2 - the flat artwork you've created and exported from the Pixton website. What format are these files? Or is the Pixton file NOT flattened, ie provided in a layered format like PSD? You said the little square tiles are "independent", but in what way? Can you individually control them once they are imported to After Effects? Can you import them so that each tile becomes a layer?
Secondly, what will the final result look like, SPECIFICALLY.
You have referred several times to seeing yourself in time-lapse, eg "So it just looks like im placing the squares blind and/or doesnt look like im tracing the photos behind it."
But do you mean that you will visually see yourself in the end result (like your full body positioning tiles, or just a hand positioning tiles?) In which case, motion tracking may be required.
Or do you mean you just want the square tiles to appear one by one on a white background, gradually, without seeing yourself in the shot? In which case, I can't see any purpose whatsoever for tracking.
Or, ignoring everything above, are you saying you have a screen recording of the creation process on the Pixton website, where we see your cursor dragging each tile over the original artwork, and you want to eliminate the original art from that screen capture so that you only see the tiles being placed? If this is correct, once again there is no tracking involved at all, just some intricate rotoscoping/masking. Or, possibly, if the footage is high quality, it may be achieved easily using a Difference key.

The shuttle I have. Got it from a green screen video on Youtube and it is very good. Now to do the dusting effect when landing on a pad and the dusting off when taking off is where I need a nudge. Cheers.

The only way we could have any idea about what is going on is if you gave us project details. Most likely culprits are incompatible footage or missing third-party effects. There is nothing inherently difficult about opening projects from the same or later versions of AE on a different operating system.

What kind of project details would you like? I have 10 different project files (everything collected & organized) from a show I worked on last year. Everything was created on AE 15.0 on a Windows computer. I'm just trying to open any of the project files on any of my 3 Mac computers, but not one computer, or version of AE will open these files. It takes 2-3 hours to attempt even opening the project, and then IF it opens, it completely freeze AE. It's like my machines are having a hard time reading the Windows files or something. This is the first time I've ever encountered this problem!

I forgot to add that none of the plugins or effects are missing from any of my machines from the one that they were created on. All the footage is there, all the effects are installed, everything is good.

Expression-Based Mask = Abysmal Performance!
Hi, guys.
What's up with the horrendous slow-down happening when masks are created via path expressions - even when the drawn shape is as primitive as a simple rectangle? Can't the damn thing stand to be hell of a lot faster than this?
This is a really potent feature but the awful dip in performance is really off-putting.
When can we expect an optimization?

Pen tool not showing lines on large file.
Hi, I am trying to follow this tutorial in which you use the pen tool to draw over roads on a map and animate that line. The lines are not showing up when I draw them and the pen tool lines remain. I tried it with a different file (following the same instructions) with a smaller resolution map and the lines showed up. The large map file in which I am trying to animate these lines over is about 20,000 by 5,000 pixels. I enabled a proxy of the image initially but, currently, I am not getting the lines to appear from the path I drew with the pen tool.
I'm no expert in this program, is it some sort of render issue? am I forgetting something?
If more information is needed to figure this out please let me know.

Composition window empty/not updating - AE CC 2019
I just launched After Effects again for the first time in a couple months just to make a very quick and basic edit. Unfortunately whenever I create a composition the window just won't update and when I resize it just goes haywire. Moving the window around to different parts of AE doesn't fix the problem, neither does restarting the program or my computer. Reinstalling to a different drive didn't change anything. What's in the composition doesn't seem to matter, I've tried it at full res, low res, even with an empty comp and the problem is exactly the same. I checked my hardware and everything is fine, nothing is being throttle, overheated, etc.
