i opened after effects to try and delete the preferences file but that didn't work either. Do you possibly know a service number I can call to ask about my problem?

You'll see these items on ebay for $9 to $1,100, but I couldn't tell you if any of it actually sells.
There's some value to CS6 as it's the last version to support Encore. If you offered it with "need Encore" and priced it at $100, someone may pick it up.

Re: After Effect cc 2019 - Stuck at initializing required components
After 3 hours of digging, I found a solution on my PC.
The issue is with Adobe Creative Cloud application. Go to windows Task Manager and in the "Startup" tab disable the "Adobe Creative Cloud" to startup with the PC.
I found that the moment I run the Creative Cloud, the After Effect stuck on boot screen.
So Adobe, please fix your Creative Cloud app.

Can't select individual mask points [AE CC 2019]
Hi!
I have this "issue" since some time and I don't know if it's my mistake or a software thing. I made a quick video to demonstrate you, that I can not select individual mask points, to move them around. It's not always like that, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I already googled almost everything and tried so many shortcuts. Can anybody help me out here?

After a week of suffering, I've figured it out.
For some reason, AMD has disabled OpenCL by default for its new drivers. Had to enable it through registry editor and it worked! Special Thanks to Rameez Khan and Kyle Hamrick for such concern.

There's nothing wrong with AE you are just using the wrong tool. The direct selection tool (v) is the wrong tool to select mask points and edit them.
Try selecting the path in the timeline, then switch to the Pen tool (g) and hold down the Ctrl/Cmnd key as you move over the various parts of the path. You should be able to see the cursor change. You should also be able to click and drag around one or more mask points to select them and move them. Here is a tutorial I did a few a long time ago. It should get you started.

Could be. Premiere is simply not meant for elaborate animation timing. Of course start by playing around with the various auto-ease modes on the motion effect itself. Perhaps it's enough.

Re: Freeze when startup
Start by weeding out your fonts. Such type engine freezes typically mean that you are using "bad" fonts like legacy versions of existing fonts that confuse the system, old Truetypes etc. or simply too many of them. Remove any fonts that are not necessary down to the original Windows system fonts and then add them back as needed.

Without any exact info on settings, items used in the project etc. nobody can tell you much. Also actually monitor your memory usage at the system level and check the relevant options in the system settings like memory address randomization and whatnot. additionally check your hardware and device drivers. Incompatible legacy drivers can have all sorts of ill effects not just on AE but also Win 10 itself.

Impossible to say much without any info about the actual project contents. Mocha is much more picky about file formats as it doesn't natively support everything that AE does. Chances are your sources are just that and may need conversion.

Re: Identifying layers anchor points value with expressions
Dynamically rasterized layers such as text layers do their calculations based on the actual text size and its formatting. That and of course shape layers have a different logic, too, basing their calculations on the center, not the top-left corner like other layer types. That's why the values can seem illogical and inconsistent. You will have to compensate in the code for that, starting by finding the actual neutral values with reset position. If that gets too confusing, consider pre-composing to fixed size comps, which is much simpler to handle.
