Liquify, Mesh Warp, Displacement Map, Puppet Pin...
Depends entirely on the shot. There are more ways and tracking and or roto may be helpful.

It would help if we saw the expression. I haven't got time to run through the tutorial but I will bet that X and Y values inside the expression are different. Change them so they reflect the same values.
If you post a copy of the expression just about anyone here that has basic knowledge of expressions can fix it for you.
Hi Rick,
Thank you for your reply. I don't really want to transcode the footage because it takes time and I never had to do that in order to edit it in AE.
I did a test with the same footage, same settings etc. on my laptop which is on Mavericks and it did work. So I'm thinking it must be the combination of Mountain Lion and After Effects 13.2. Very strange.
Probably time to upgrade the OS.
Thanks again for your time!
All the best,
Laszlo
When I go on my After Effects CC I get cinematic I want to motion track 3D text to, I use the built in Camera tracker plugin to track the objects on the video and make a null and camera, and some 2D text then I go into Element 3D and the text model is not there? I dont know why?
Think happy thoughts
this was done on purpose to make AE more useable on high-dpi monitors. Some love it. Some hate it.
according to your screengrab, you have nothing parented to the null
Your comp is not at the same position as the null, simple as that. It's also probably not the right size so it needs to be scaled. If there are any 3D layers in your comp you must not have Collapse Transformations turned on. BTW, a screenshot with no properties revealed for the layers you are having problems with isn't very helpful. When you have problems in the future select the layers that you are having problems with and press the U key twice to reveal everything about these layers that is not at the default setting.
To move your comp to the same position as your 3D null simply make the comp a 3D layer, hold down the Shift key and make the null the parent of the null. Problem solved. Note the second paragraph of my first reply.
Note the before and after in this simple example.
When I rendered my first scene in adobe after fx cc 2014 I noticed I had no sound, and the video was playing frame by frame not full speed.
What did I do wrong?
Big D.
You probably used the default Lossless preset in the Output Module. You should probably type rendering in the search help field at the top right corner of AE and study up on the options.
I'm trying to replace a picture on a bus pass in one shot of a video I'm making with an alternative bus pass picture - what's the best way to do this? I've made a mask which follows the bus pass and have therefore erased the existing section of the image, but 'm struggling to find an effective way to replace it with the image I want. Ideally I would somehow stick it to beneath the mask and it would move with the path but nothing I've tried has worked. Amy help greatly appreciated!
Thanks for the reply - I've already tried motion tracking and copying the motion to the picture, but it's not been very effective because the angle of the bus pass changes so much, they still don't measure up effectively and it looks shocking when I've tried to individually adjust the keyframes. Is there any way to "fill" a moving mask with an image apart from motion tracking?
I'm looking for a PDF document of Mac After Effect CC 2014 Keyboard Shortcuts.
Thanks,

Here's the web version:

There's a PDF version of the Help document here:
Thank you for your response. I checked the links you provided and saw that one change made for CC was approval of NVIDIA K5000. I chose this card for my new tower from the approved list, not realizing that the GPU recognition would not take place automatically with CS6.
Is it possible to make this card compatible with CS6? I saw one posting that suggested that through GPU sniffer it was possible make the connection for MAC. I did not find any similar suggestion for a PC. I'm using Windows 7 Pro.
What are my options? If I were to subscribe to CC would the connection take place automatically? I hadn't planned to subscribe just yet and wonder if I have another option.
Might be a bit easier to recommend procedures to you if you are able to post a few representative stills from the footage.
