i think you must remove both version than use cc cleaner than reinstall everything Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems
Re: Adobe Premiere Pro 2019 linked to Adobe after effects CC 2018
Re: Can't view my composition
maybe you have a GPU issue, try to update your graphic card to the latest update,
also try to stop GPU accelerator and use mercury software only - go to file/project settings/video rendering and effects....
Re: Video file for the web, with transparency
What is the person using to code the web content? What you describe is supported and easy for something like the Shcokwave Flash web browser plug-in or for wired QuickTime movie files, but not for HTML alone. Of course those browser plugins are going away or gone.
If the person can’t provide exact delivery specs (ideally before you start working as to avoid open-ended work), the best you can do is give them the common formats that support transparency or formats that allow you to pair rgb/alpha later.
I would add a few audio only files to your delivery list (wav, aif, mp3) along with a note, “Let me know if you neeed anything else”.

He hasn't specified how he's coding it, he just said he wanted the background from the animation he got done removed so he can "drop it on the web-site so you only see the character.". and more or less the same thing in similar wording. But not mentioning how he's coding it.
If there was a way to export as flash with transparency in AE CC 2017 or higher I might send that too but I don't think there is and like you say flash is going. I think it's disabled by default in Firefox, and I read it doesn't work on mobile devices.
Thanks. I think I'll either send him what you mentioned or ask him first to see whether he still wants to go ahead or maybe cancel.

OK. I will write a new message describing my problem. I'm waiting for you to help me. Thank you for your help.

Hi demiru,
I am responding to request that you do not create duplicate posts. If you'd like, you can comment on your previous post about this subject which will bump the discussion back to the top of the thread stack. I will be locking this post shortly. I just wanted to let you know why.

Re: AE CC 2018 ridiculously slow
Oh, wow. I'm so glad I've found this thread. I just purchased a £5K iMac Pro to try and resolve this issue that I have spend basically the past week trying to fix, and After Effects is still running as painful slow! I have missed a number of client deadline because of it.
Have adobe staff even formally responded to this thread yet?!
I can't modify the After Effects project. Duplicate Locked
My dear friends.
There is a info graphic project prepared after effects. I want to have 2 different pie charts that show different data on the same screen and actively upload data. but I can't make it. because the second pie chart changes automatically when I change the first pie chart data. I dont want this.
that is, two pie charts must show data that is independent of each other. first pie chart 2 data loading second pie chart I want to upload 4 different data. I added a small video showing the problem. I hope you will help me. Many thanks to all my friends already. I love you. you are good.

Title Animation Style like Semi Permanent 2018 – Opening Titles
Hi I was wondering how they achieve the look of the title animation/ the typography animation in this title sequence?
Semi Permanent 2018 – Opening Titles on Vimeo
Is it done in 2D or 3D? maybe it was done in 3D and rendered out as 2d?
Or was it using Illustrator and then brought to After Effects to animate ?
Or the entire thing was done in AE by animating individual properties?
tryna figure out!
thanks.

Re: Title Animation Style like Semi Permanent 2018 – Opening Titles
That is a good question.
The background could be 2D or 3D, it is kind of hard to guess. If someone knows how to script things, it could be done in 2D. Or it could have been done in a 3D program.
The text looks 2D to me.
Have you tried contacting the people who produced it. You could contact them.... and tell them you really love the visualization. Then ask what software they used to achieve it. Maybe they will be friendly and point you in the right direction.
If another creative emails me about my work I usually will give them some tips or pointers. It just depends if the person is friendly or not.
Re: Video file for the web, with transparency
What's the phrase? Just because you can, does't mean that you should.
This might work: Export a PNG image sequence from AE, import that into an Adobe Animate project (a .FLA), place it into a Scene, use Trace Bitmap to convert the bitmap PNG to vectors, clean up as needed, and then export to SVG image sequence. The only step I'm not sure about is exporting to a SVG image sequence. I've done PNG image sequences and Animation compressed QuickTime with alpha from Animate/Flash, but not SVG.
Maybe just offer to deliver a high quality, intermediate format that can be converted to whatever is needed for publishing to the web. So, "Lossless with Alpha" from AE (audio included in the resulting file) and a PNG image sequence with a WAV file. (Be sure to note the frame rate with the image sequence. I usually append it to the folder name along the lines of "PNG Seq at 24fps".)
Re: Help with my Mac Pro Set-up for 3D Rendering in After Effects
Hey thanks, OussK !
This is great.
So, even though using the extrusion is easy, it's just not practical since ray-tracing is obsolete.
I am trying to learn more expressions also and this demo is really helpful for that too.
I do like how you used a slider to control the red area. I have been trying to figure it out on my own, How does the slider know to just change the scale in Y and have it affect everything within the comp?
Thanks again!
I checked out your page on Video Hive, so many great project files that will save me time in the future.
Re: AE Crash in wdmaud.drv
I have been experiencing this issue heavily for the last week. Has there been any progress on a strong fix?
Re: Title Animation Style like Semi Permanent 2018 – Opening Titles
There are a bunch of different moves and transitions. The first shot I looked at to try and figure out:
looks like it could be just simple 2D artwork with position animation for the background with a text overlay because the details in the background image do not move independently.
The second **** I analyzed:
was a modified circle wipe on the original background image using some kind of distortion revealing extruded text and another background layer. This tells me that the top layer, the one with the distorted wipe, is 3D, the text layer is also 3D and the background elements are also 3D. The wobbly edge circle wipe transition on the top layer would be fairly easy to do without 3rd party effects, the distortion would be a lot more difficult. Displacement map would require a very complex displacement map involving colors with positive and negative color values (- red) or you might be able to use some of AE's standard distortion effects to fake the distortion.
The 3D extruded text layer is also affected by the displacement but this kind of displacement is much easier to handle in a 3D app. You could fake it in AE but you are looking at a lot of other layers controlling the sides of the text layer. The easiest and fastest way to extrude 3D text is to create a text layer in a new comp, make it 3D, the export a C4D file and use C4D lite to extrude the layer.
The other background elements are also 3D and there are some interesting motion behaviors and layer interaction going on here. All of this could be achieved in AE, but it would require multiple layers and effects. I would start with multiple 3D layers with transparency and effects applied and add some displacement controllers.
The third shot I looked at:
Clearly shows fluid dynamics. This could be done in After Effects using the new Trapcode Suite but it would require a great deal experience with Particular, Mir, Form and a lot of experimentation. It would also require a fairly substantial fist full of cash to purchase the suite. If your budget is limited it would be a lot less expensive to create all of these effects in Blender (http://blender.org) Poking a hole in a 3D layer and distorting the edges is pretty straight forward and so are fluid dynamics. Duplicating this shot in AE is possible, but it would take a lot of work and experimentation.
There is not much in that example video that can be accomplished without a huge amount of work. If I were doing that project the comps would be broken down into single shots then the final edit could be done in Premiere Pro. It would be nuts to try and do the whole video in After Effects.
I hope this helps a bit. If we knew your level of experience and what other resources you had we could be a bigger help. I would start by picking a simple shot and then try and figure out how too help you analyze and set up some of the shots in the video.
AE Freezing
Hey! My ae has recently been freezing alot (and I mean alot) when I try and change maybe the scale in a transform, you know, when you change the numbers in anything, ae will freeze. I have tried even uninstalling after effects but it still is happening.
I use After Effects CC 2018
I am on Windows 7
Any response is appreciated
Re: Help with my Mac Pro Set-up for 3D Rendering in After Effects
Classic 3D will manage just fine. No need for Ray Tracing at all.
Recommended workflow is model in C4D and bring into AE (don't use C4D Lite)
Oussk's example is a simple one but very effective as a start point.
Expression controls are meant for a different thread as we are still trying to understand what it is you are trying to accomplish

Re: Help with my Mac Pro Set-up for 3D Rendering in After Effects
really this graph build from simple path and stroke (repeated to create the 4 sides of graph) and i creat one dynamic slider the Red Comp and other static the Grey comp. so i set a trim effects for each stroke in the Red comp and i link all this trim to a main slider controller so when you change the value of the slider it will change the value of trim path and since it's all linked together so you will get the animation effects, and finally i link the slider control that include in the Red composition with another slider set on the final composition.
Really the expression in this demo is very very basic and with more experience you can do a lot more special with graph and charts so you can create something like auto in and out without any keyframes and lot of powerful thing.
